Alumni

This space shows you everybody we're thankful for: those who have helped us achieve our goals, but who are no longer actively involved in the project. Out of sight, but never out of mind! We honor them here, in our very own walk of fame.

Hello! My name is Julian, 21 years old and currently studying Biomedical Sciences at Maastricht University. I would describe myself as inquisitive and always ready to take on new challenges in life. A few years ago I had never thought I would be able to do basic programming. Together with Masoud and my fellow colleagues, this is a skill we all have been learning for the past two academic years. Personally, I like to do all kinds of sports (I don't really settle for one) and I play the piano when I am in a more creative mood. Academically, my major interests lie within the fields of Biochemistry, Genetics and Neuroscience. I pursue a research-oriented career in one of these domains. I am very happy and grateful to be part of this beautiful project and I am looking forward to the future of our organization.

Hi, I'm Selina, 26 years old. My personal interests are cell communication and bioinformatics. With this knowledge, I would like to contribute to knowledge about the physiology of the human body. Due to my background as a physiotherapist, i found interest in the development of disease. Therefore, it is important to help raise awareness and answer questions regarding possible diseases.

Hi! My name is Britte and I study Midwifery at Academie Verloskunde Maastricht. I love the profession as a midwife because of appreciation of the people I try to help to get themselves and the baby as healthy as possible through the pregnancy, delivery and the days after. It is a beautiful idea I may be present in this special time of their life and I really want to help the becoming parents to make the best of that time with the purpose that they look back on it with a good feeling.

Hi! I’m Miriam and I’m currently in my 3rd year of bachelor’s in Biomedical Sciences. I’m originally from Italy but I’ve been living in the Netherlands for almost 3 years now (with a little 6 months break in Northern Norway). I’ve always been curious and inquisitive about things, especially when it comes to new frontiers both in science and outside of science; for this reason, during my studies I’ve started focusing on data science and bioinformatics, hoping, one day, to pursue a career in this field.
